Europe wants to tackle fake news — if it could only define it first


The European Commission is going to tackle so-called fake news. Which is great. Except it doesn’t know yet what it means by “fake news,” and you can’t really regulate something you don’t understand. This is its first and biggest problem, but there’s more.
