Opera plans to add a cryptocurrency wallet to its desktop browser
Handling cryptocurrencies is about to get easier, as Opera becomes the first major desktop browser to include a cryptocurrency wallet, negating the need for third-party extensions or applications. Vector: Anki’s tiny robot that wants to hang
Anki launched a Kickstarter for Vector, a new ‘home robot’ that looks a lot like their last product, Cozmo. Vector is always-on and a lot more powerful. It basically has the guts of a smartphone including a faster processor and Wi-Fi. In the season finale of Processor, Dieter visits Anki’s office to talk to the people that made Vector. These soft, tiny robot spiders might operate on you someday
If I was a scientist, I’d hope everything I created would weird people out. This is why I’ve got such glowing admiration for the team of researchers who have created a tiny robot spider that could one day potentially conduct operations inside humans. Bravo, team, bravo. An issue facing medical scientists has been creating non-rigid robots small enough to work in environments that are impossible for surgeons to access. While there has been some success in this field – some have managed to make soft, centimeter-sized devices for example – overall, this goal has evaded experts. Until now? You’re damn…

Video app Cheez is rolling out a cryptocurrency integration… but it’s centralized
Social video app Cheez, which boasts over five million installs across Android and iOS, is rolling out a cryptocurrency integration that will let users earn Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH). But there are a few caveats: the reward ceiling is pretty low – and the integration is mostly centralized. The video app, developed by livestreaming household name LiveMe, will require users to complete a series of daily tasks (anything from sharing videos to uploading content) to earn their coins. But before you get your hopes up Cheez might be a new career avenue, the daily limit for rewards is capped at 0.00352…
